NCIT is dedicated to addressing barriers in the transportation field by awarding up to three students annually with the Advancing Excellence in Education Scholarship. This initiative supports the career growth of females, underrepresented minorities, and underserved populations, providing winners with mentorship from NCIT leadership, including advisory board or steering committee members.
The VIP Program enables undergraduate students to engage in long-term research projects led by faculty and industry members while receiving academic credits. The program is an important retention tool and facilitates the pipeline of students toward transportation-related career paths. The program is available to freshman through senior students, and intensity is commensurate with the student’s time availability.
