NCIT provides the Leadership through Mentoring program to selected graduate and undergraduate students, aiming to expand their leadership understanding beyond traditional hierarchies. The semester-long collaboration, offering a stipend to selected undergraduates, emphasizes shared leadership actions and includes an integrated online course.
The Student Council, representing each consortium member, is pivotal in fostering leadership development through a series of in-person and virtual events, including workshops on essential topics related to infrastructure transformation. These forums provide students opportunities to enhance their skills, gain insights, and actively contribute to collective learning.
The initiative to support students attending the Transportation Research Board (TRB) conference reinforces our commitment to actively engage students in academia and the profession. By incentivizing students to author or co-author and present peer-reviewed TRB papers, we enhance research and communication skills.
